Our Team at Ang Mo Kio – Thye Hua Kwan Hospital is equipped with knowledge and expertise in a variety of health disciplines to give our patients the best possible care towards recovery. We aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families with our personalised approach to each patient who comes to us.
With a team of highly-competent and experienced staff, we offer patients the opportunity to regain mobility and independence, facilitating their assimilation into society.
Therapy Services
Made up of three core specialist units in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy, our therapy team charts out each patient’s rehabilitation plan, in consultation with the medical team. By identifying the inherent strengths of each patient and targeting their weaknesses, our therapists endeavour to rehabilitate each patient to their full recovery potential.
Medical Services
The Medical Team consists of resident doctors and visiting specialists from the specialties of Geriatrics and Orthopedics among others. This inherent clinical strength is combined with the Nursing, Therapy and Nutrition teams at the hospital to produce an integrated care plan for each patient.
Care & Counselling
Comprising specialists in medical social work and counselling, the team provides counselling and support services for our patients and their families. They also assist the families in preparing and co-coordinating an appropriate care plan after the patient’s discharge.
Nursing Services
Our team of professional nurses see to our patients’ needs, round the clock. Schooled in general nursing care and relevant clinical specialties, our team of spirited caregivers strive to ensure that every patient at the hospital gets the best possible care and service.
Dietetics
Our dietitians advise the Hospital’s catering departments about the specific dietary requirements of our patients. They also educate and advise our patients and their caregivers, on the practical ways in which they can improve their health by adopting healthier eating habits.
