It’s Pharmacy Week at Ang Mo Kio – Thye Hua Kwan Hospital. As part of its celebrations from 23 to 28th September, The Healing Hub Pharmacy is organising a series of activities to raise awareness of the meaningful work and contributions of pharmacists and technicians in healthcare. In conjunction with these nationwide celebrations, the Ministry of Health has launched a series of educational posters and videos to help patients and their caregivers understand the fundamentals of managing their medications

Some of the important topics covered include:

Knowing how to read medication labels
Understanding what medication you are taking, why you need to take them, as well as how to take them correctly and safely.

Remembering to take your meds
Useful tips to help you remember to take your medication.

Knowing if you have enough medication
Learning to keep track of how much medication you have at home to make sure you have enough until your next appointment.

Knowing about storage and expiry
Learning how to store your medication correctly, and how to spot expired medication

Knowing how to pack a pill box
Learning how to pack and avoid missing doses of your medication

The Healing Hub Pharmacy at Ang Mo Kio – Thye Hua Kwan Hospital is a one-stop facility providing patients, caregivers and the community pharmaceutical products and rehabilitation aids. The Healing Hub’s operating hours are as follows:

Mondays to Fridays: 9am to 6pm
Saturdays: 9am to 1pm
Sundays: Closed
