Clinical Preceptorship

This course prepares experienced nurses to undertake the role of clinical preceptor in supporting the learning and professional development of nursing students and newly employed nurses. The programme focuses on clinical teaching strategies, supervision, assessment of clinical competencies, and providing constructive feedback to support safe and effective clinical practice.

Who Should Attend

Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses who are appointed or preparing to take on the role of clinical preceptor for nursing students, newly employed nurses or junior staff.

Training Details

Total: 16 Hours

• Theoretical component: 14 hours (includes the use of e-learning/ blended approach).
• Clinical component: 2 hours (within 2 weeks upon completion of course)
